All children in each class follow a broad and balanced curriculum
which embraces all the National Curriculum subjects. The core subjects
of English, Mathematics, Science and Information and Communication
Technology together with the foundation subjects of Creative Curriculum,
Design and Technology, Art, Music and Physical Education make up the
National Curriculum but other areas such as Religious Education, Health
Education and Environmental Awareness have direct links with core
and foundation subjects and are taught through topic-based themes.
Many topics are based around a historical, geographical or scientific
theme but there are occasions where some areas are taught as subjects
in their own right.
