We aim to encourage all our children to use ICT equipment and software with confidence and purposefully to communicate and handle information. ICT is used to support the children’s learning in all areas of the curriculum.

We have a number of computers in our Foundation stage and Infants. Recently a large number of computers have been replaced with latest laptops (30) and minibook (32) for our Infant and Junior Departments to use. These can be taken into the classrooms when required. These Laptops provide wireless connectivity to the internet and school network. Each of our classes also have interactive whiteboards which can provide access to resources within the school and on the internet with access to a wide array of software.

The school is connected to the internet via broadband through the London Grid For Learning Network. The computers all have the necessary software to aid learning across the curriculum. This also includes the Espresso Learning Environment.

ICT at Fairway is delivered using Greenwich scheme of work as a basis and we use lessons and materials for key stages 1 and 2. It also supports teachers in developing their own skills as well as assessing those of their pupils.
