Dear Parents/Carers
Just a short newsletter to update you.
Telephone numbers
If you change your telephone number/s please let us know as soon as possible otherwise our cascade calling system and texting system will not work effectively. We will always call you, text you if the school is closing so there is no need to phone the school.
School closure last two days of summer term
You should have already received a letter from Martin Baker (Acting Director of Children’s Service) regarding the school being closed on the last two days of the Summer Term (Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st July). The other dates given to you previously regarding the Easter break will remain the same. I am very sorry if this causes anybody any inconvenience but it is totally out of my hands.
Head Teacher Drop In
There will not be a Head Teacher Drop In next Tuesday afternoon as I will not be at school next week. Mr Putman (Deputy Head Teacher) will be in charge of the school. I will see you after half term. I hope you have a pleasant break.
MEND Programme
You should have received information regarding the MEND Programme that we are running at Fairway in the summer term. It is a ten week course for yourself and your child/ren about healthy life styles. It has been very successful at other schools in the Borough. If you are interested please let the office know.
Zig Zag
Please, please do not stop on the zig zags in front of the Schools/Children’s Centre at any time. Some parents/carers have been doing this on a regular basis. It is an offence to stop and it causes a lot of problems and a health and safety risk to the children.
School Dinners (Primary School Only)
Once again, please ensure that Dinner Money is paid every MONDAY or for the whole half term. The cost for the next half term is £54.60 or £9.75 per week. Please make cheques payable to Fairway Primary School. Please remember that if you would like to change from school dinners to packed lunch or vice versa you MUST give the office two weeks notice.
