Nursery Class
The children made Easter Egg fridge magnets as gifts for their families. We talked about why people give each other Easter Eggs at this time of year, and lots of children knew all about where eggs come from and what comes out of eggs! The children were developing their fine motor skills, using scissors to cut along a line and exploring different kinds of mark making by decorating their eggs with zig zags, spots, dotty and swirly patterns. They used cotton buds to carefully apply small amounts of glue where they wanted to stick some sparkly sequins. We laminated the eggs before the children applied magnets to the back of their eggs. We discovered that we had to be careful to glue the magnets on the right way around, otherwise the Eater Eggs won’t stick to our fridges!
Look how carefully the children cut out their Easter Eggs and used cotton buds to apply only a tiny amount of glue.
