Children may wear either formal uniform (white shirt and tie) or informal uniform (white polo shirt) but all children will need a formal uniform for special occasions such as school visits, photographs, special assemblies or performances.

ALL CLOTHES AND P.E. KIT MUST BE NAMED and kept in a draw string bag with your child’s name clearly marked (on the outside) and this should be kept in school for the Half Term and taken home at the end of each Half Term to be washed. The wearing of tracksuits and trainers for outdoor games is encouraged in the winter. (Tracksuits are not required for the Reception class.) Trainers need to be the type that can be laced properly giving support to the ankle and foot. Fashion trainers are not to be worn.

All items with an asterisk * can be purchased from the school by filling in an order form.

Swimmers
All infant children go swimming at Northway School. They will need to bring a swimsuit, hat and towel. If your child is in school they will be expected to go swimming. We will keep spare swimming kits so if they forget we shall loan them a kit. Also please note that ALL children MUST wear a swimming hat for hygiene reasons.

Jewellery
For safety reasons the school has a policy of no jewellery at all.
