Science: Plants and animals in the local environment

We have been learning about Plants and Animals in the Local Environment. We studied various plants, how they grow and where they can be found. We also learned about different animals and their habitats. We took a walk outdoors to see what plants and creatures we could find in the locality. We also planted sunflower seeds and over the Summer term we will be monitoring their growth. We put the plant pots outside our classroom windows in the hope that very soon we will be able to see our sunflowers peering through!

We had a great deal of fun planting our sunflower seeds.

We found lots of interesting things that grow and live around our school.
