Mathematical Problem Solving

Year 4, as part of their work on the Caribbean, have been doing work with the Jamaican flag. First we had to make exact copies of it without tracing, then we had to make them twice as big , then we had to make them half the size. After that we looked at how many different variations of the flag we could design using just the three colours.

We need a lot of floor space to make the flags twice the size!

How many different designs can you make?

This is our final display.
